stats:
20 lbs 6 oz (weighed at the doctor's office one week before his birthday)
wearing 9 month and 6-12 months sized clothing & size 4 diapers. we've had a little trouble keeping him dry throughout the night. i'm trying "overnight" diapers but they don't seem to be any better than regular ones ;)
feeding update: the plan was to stop nursing crosby on his eight month birthday and then slowly wean myself (by pumping once a day) to get my supply to dry up. i had it in my head that i would be able to accept it better if i had an "end date" - but since i am writing this after his eight month bday - i have to be honest and say that i have not given it up yet. i am nursing him first thing in the morning and i plan to just pump on the mornings that i don't see him. so i am technically down to nursing once a day now.
sleep update: he's finally gotten into a good nap routine at home! he will take a 2 hour nap in the morning and another almost 2 hour nap in the afternoon and possibly even a small cat night before bedtime. he still refuses to nap at day care - they are still trying but he will only give them between 20-40 minutes while he's there - little stinker! needless to say, when he gets home from day care - he's beat and is usually in bed early on those nights. he is sleeping MUCH better throughout the night too. we rarely have nights where he wakes up in the middle of the night and he has, on several occasions, woken up past 630am! todd and i will even be up before he even gets up!
we didn't quite get through the month without the sickies. he did really well most of the month but then caught a cough and probably a virus from day care. he had a pretty bad night with todd one night and then the next day the dr told me it was just a cold. THEN the following evening (which happened to be a saturday) his breathing started to get short and quick and his respiration rate was 70 breaths/minute (twice what it should be) and he had a really rattly chest. after a call to the on call dr from my pediatricians office, croz and i headed to the ER. after three hours and a breathing treatment we were basically told there wasn't much we could do besides breathing treatments at home and watch to make sure it didn't get worse and then let it run its course. fun times....
his fourth tooth popped through on 4/3/15 and he has the cutest sweetest grin when he shows you his teeth. i'm obsessed!
crosby celebrated his first eatster and we headed to spenmcer to celebrate with papa and grandma rita and our cousins and aunt jill and uncle tom. it was a nice trip and croz made out pretty well from the easter bunny
we also started our first waterbabies class at the Y. the first session was a disaster! he screamed the.whole.time. luckily todd was with me to help when needed but little man was just not having it. we skipped the next class because croz had a slight fever and wasn't feeling the greatest. but the next two classes were a big hit! he loves splashing and singing the songs and then doing "laps" in mommy's arms. we are having such a good time and i am happy that he loves the water
new skills and thrills: takes a bath in the big bathtub now...rolling and scooting towards toys...rocks to music...scoots his highchair across the floor by rocking....finger painted at daycare...starting to learn to clap...discovered his hands and will stare at them sometimes...discovered his tongue and rubs it on his teeth...bangs toys together...holds his bottle...
