i tried to take about 100 self portraits on this trip, this is the only one that turned out even kind of decent....it's just so NOT a flattering angle :)

love looking back on these phots...we really really had a blast

already looking forward to next summer's trip

 

spending time at the lake really helps me remember how truly lucky and blessed that i am.

and for whatever reason, relaxing at the lake seems to be the best medicine for my stressed out mind...it's amazing

just returning to reality from our weeklong vacation at the lake. still one more week off from school before fall semester starts...it's hard to figure out what to do with all this free time! but...who's complaining :)

just what i needed...

during my weeklong break from school - i got to enjoy some of my most favorite things...including:

quality time with my nephew while we waited for his baby sister to arrive

being with my sissy at the hospital during her labor...

and then meeting my new niece moments after she arrived!

raiding my parents cabinets for goodies like these

relaxing with my daddy watching jeopardy and the news

(doesn't he look good with a baby in his arms? melts my heart)

almost killing mary's dog while trying to take him on a run with me

i've got a full weekend of homework ahead of me :( boo

but i do hope to at least make it out to the farmers market downtown and get my raised vegetable garden planted

gotta get 6.5 miles in on sunday too - dam to dam is coming up FAST!

that was quite the hiatus...

my apologies blog readers (if there any of you actually left)! this little blog of mine has been pushed to the back burner these past months - and to put it simply - i've been BU-S-Y!

i will spare you a long & drawn out "update" on what's been happening since september (i really cannot believe that was my last post! oops)

but for right now...

• i'm on a one-week semester break from school - summer classes start next monday
• i'm training to run the dam-to-dam race on june 2
• i'm about to be an auntie again - any day now my sissy is going to have a baby girl! tick tock....

and sheesh...that's about it

i am just enjoying every. single. second. of my down time right now

have a lovely week and i will introduce you to newest angel in my life when she gets here SOOON!
