stats:
21 lbs 7 oz & 27.3" long
wearing 6-12 months and 12 month sized clothing & still size 4 diapers.
feeding update: about halfway through this past month - we've given up nursing entirely. so crosby is officially 100% formula fed and eats two 8 oz and two 6 oz bottles throughout the day. he is also eating baby food and some table foods three times a day. there's not much that this kiddo doesn't like and will pretty much try anything we offer him. sometimes i offer him a sippy cup and if i hold it for him, he will drink his milk from it.
sleeping update: sleeping is about the same as last month. we are, for the most part, sleeping through the night and taking two decent naps during the day. we, of course, have had a few bad nights here and there and the biggest real change with this is that crosby likes to be rocked to sleep again. he used to just let us lie him down awake and he'd roll over and fall asleep. at naptime though - he insists on getting rocked in my arms first. i don't mind the extra cuddles though ;)
health update: and oh man...have we had a bought with illnesses this past month! crosby continued to run on/off again temperatures for a few days and i eventually ended up in the dr office on a saturday morning to get him checked out. his fever was up to 103.9 that day and they decided to draw some blood work which showed elevated white blood cells - indicating a bacterial infection. he got an antibiotic shot that day and i was to follow up with our main pediatrician on monday. that check-up showed he was much better and WBC count was back down as well as his temperature. i was sent home with a prescription for another antibiotic to help keep things in check. well....that very same night (which i happened to be working), crosby woke up at 1215 and was very upset and would not go back to sleep. not really like him - so i got several messages and calls from todd and luckily i was able to get out of work a few hours later to come home. when i got home, todd had been driving around with little man to try and help him sleep - so i took over from there. after listening to him breathing for a few minutes, i got pretty concerned and ended up driving straight to the ER. after several hours and tests and a chest xray later - croz was diagnosed with bacterial pneumonia. ugh! poor baby. since then he's been fairly healthy - minus a few runny noses and such. we did round out this month though with goopy eyes and while i had him at the dr for his 9 month check-up, i got him checked out and they diagnosed him with a double ear infection! seriously, this kid cant catch a break.
new skills and thrills: grinds his teeth...chews his fingers but not really anything else...pulls his socks off...biting (although this isn't a problem yet)...shakes his head...sat up from lying down in crib at naptime 5/6/15...pulled himself to standing 5/7/15 (after trying this several times in the bathtub)...claps his hands...screams!...cruising along furniture and in crib...rocks back and forth on hands/knees (but NOT crawling)...
