what's happening this week...
baby is the size of an acorn squash - 15.2-16.7 inches long and 2.5-3.8 pounds
update from last week's doctor's appointment:
i passed my glucose test! woop - blood sugar needed to be under 134 and i came in at 121...
they drew my blood and determined i had a slightly low hemoglobin level (came in at 10.2 and docs would like it over 11) - so i am slightly anemic and put on a daily iron supplement. they will redraw my levels in a month to see how they are and hopefully will be better...
i also got my tDap vaccine (for whooping cough) and my Rhogam shot since my blood type is O negative...
doc wasn't too happy with my weight gain over the past 4 weeks (7 pounds since last appointment) - thought it might be a little high. she just suggested i keep an eye on it and try and stay as active as possible. although i don't feel huge - it is a little hard to look at the scale. i've already gained 20 pounds and i know the last few months are prime time to pack on the pounds fast...so i am going to just try and keep on walking and eating as well as i can. dang sweet tooth - makes things hard!!
todd and i are narrowing down our baby name list and it is starting to get smaller. we've kind of stopped adding names and are now just whittling it down...we'll get there!
my sissies and mom are throwing me a baby shower this saturday and i am soooooooooo looking forward to celebrating with everyone - can't hardly wait!
work has been super busy lately and i have a feeling this summer is going to continue to be that way - lots of babies being born! i just heard that in the month of may - my hospital delivered 400 babies! yowza!
