what's happening this week...
baby is the size of cauliflower and weighs 1.5 - 2.5 pounds!
feeling pretty good again this week - a few aches and pains and other discomforts, but overall i'm doing well
update from doctor's appointment last week: weighed in at 150 lbs...baby's heart rate was 148...tummy is measuring 24-25 inches (on track with my week's gestation)...discussed next appointment and my glucose tolerance test for gestational diabetes - was sent home with my orange flavored sugary drink (cross your fingers that i pass!)...i also got to meet with my favorite doctor of the group
got to visit again with my family last weekend for my niece's 2nd birthday - we celebrated Minnie Mouse style and it was a blast
we are still discussing baby names and have quite a few ideas and a good list going...it's such a big decision!
i had a patient this week who came into the ER with abdominal pain and it was determined that she was pregnant (via pregnancy test and ultrasound) and we delivered her a few hours later up on our floor....just a weird situation all around....but i just can't imagine NOT knowing you are pregnant! i mean, i guess denial can get you pretty far and the mind can do amazing things....but still! (sorry just had to vent for a minute)
things are picking up with school work and i am trying my hardest to keep on top of it all and even getting a head start so that i am a few weeks ahead of schedule if possible...i'd like to be prepared in case i don't make it to the end of the semester...considering the last day of the semester is 8/15 and i'm due 8/20! nothing like cutting it close ;)
we had a beautiful 90 degree day yesterday (5/7) so we decided to take our belly photo in the sunshine on the front step
